Buster (far left), Shiloh (middle), and Charlie (far right)
Shiloh was the first of the three to come into our lives. He was reportedly being abused and mistreated by a local family and they were planning to move and leave him behind. A friend decided to dog-nap him and give him a new home where he would be cared for properly and loved to no end - that's us! He's the sweetest, fluffiest, most gentle pup we could have asked for.
Buster (AKA: Buster Brown the Elderbull) was the next one to come into our lives. He appeared one day tied to a tree in the yard of a house across the street from ours, and ended up breaking loose from the rope just to wander over and visit us. He picked out his very own spot on the porch next to me and decided that's where he was meant to be, so he stayed. I went across the street to let the neighbors know that he was hanging out with me, and they responded with "Want him?" ... so naturally I said yes and here we are, all these years later, still napping where he sees fit and sassy as ever. The only difference is that one of us has grayed a bit over time... Also, his favorite seat in the house is actually ON Shiloh, literally. They bonded on day one and nothing has changed since then!
And finally, Charlie decided it was time to join the pack. He actually wandered into our lives. My family was spending time in a park one afternoon and this lovely shepherd dog meandered out of the woods and followed us around all day. No collar, no microchip, and no one nearby who knew where he came from. He followed us all day and eventually followed us right into the car, seriously he just hopped right in. We took him home, cleaned him up, fed him (he was looking a bit skinny and gross like he'd been running around out there for a while) and he never left. The other two were a bit skeptical at first... in fact, Buster lifted his leg and peed directly on me to let Charlie know that mom belongs to him! Over time, they bonded pretty well, and to this day they're still the goofiest, most mismatched pack of mutts we've ever seen.
